Coming from someone who is new to the world of yorkies, even I can appreciate that comment. When people ask me if Keelyn is a teacup I go, no thank god because they tend to have a lot more health problems. People want her to stay this little! (2.4lbs) and I say, I signed up for a dog, not a beanie baby as cute as they may be . Granted if she were little I would love her just as much! But to go out of your way to get a little one seems naive.

Even when my mom tells people "Lauren has the cutest toy yorkie" I scold her and say, she isnt a toy, it is a toy breed, she is going to be a normal size and I have to differentiate b/w the tiny ones and the normal sized ones and I told her that there are even some that get to be 12lbs! More of them to love and cuddle with .

Anyway, I definitely appreciate the aggravation.

Maybe we should all round up and do an HBO special on yorkies to educate the public hahah
