| Just an update... today I went past a gas station on my way to work and it was $2.99. Thankfully, I filled up last week and my "commute" is only 1.5 miles. My mom heats her house with oil and is beside herself thinking about how she's going to afford to heat it this year at this rate. Sue- I understand that oil rigs were damaged and that will raise gas prices, but 30 cents over night?! Isn't that only 25% of our oil source? They keep saying that it's a shortage of oil refinaries that is making the price so high. Now it's the destruction of oil rigs. What I don't understand is, what else has to happen for our brilliant leaders to understand that something has to be done with developing an alternate fuel source?!
Lately, it seems like everything is increasing except for my paycheck. |
