Hi, I'm fairly new here and new to the Yorkie breed, too. I've been researching like crazy before my little girl comes home at the end of July/first of August. My first furbaby! YAY!
I've been reading all of the threads here and I am quickly gaining an appreciation for what good breeders have to go through in order to bring us our beautiful little babies. So much work, time, money, and emotion goes into what you do. Thank you!
I know that there is so much more that I can't truly appreciate yet just because of my lack of knowledge. Like the Pedigrees...I'm sure that it takes a lot of knowledge and research to choose the right lines to breed for beautiful, healthy babies and I would like to be able to understand this a little more.
I was sent the father's pedigree, and I did research online so now I understand how to read it. But what does the information REALLY mean? Should it mean anything to me? Or is it really only for the breeder? What does it mean to me to know the names of all of the parents so many generations back?
I am an artist and when my friends request items I always get appreciative smiles and enthusiastic thank you's...and that is really great! It feels good to put a smile on someone's face.

But I know that most of those people don't truly understand what goes into those pieces...and that's OK...but it would be nice if they did know. And that's what I want for my breeder...to understand enough to honestly let her know how much I appreciate what she has done to bring my beautiful little girl to me. That's all.
Thanks for taking the time to answer if you are able to.
Carrie
