yes, I have been to Mandees - she's out in the suburbs and I have been all over and wow I've missed any bars on the windows. My dd lives not far from downtown and it is gorgeous on every side around her, very upscale in a couple directions. Keith & Nicole frequent a couple spots nearby.
All these country stars would not live there and it would not be one of the fastest growing cities in the country if it was dirty. Everywhere I have been it is clean and green
I've been downtown - even to the Y downtown - which in some cities can be on the seedy side and no signs of that.
I've driven all over because I have even boarded Bubba & Roxy there and I've been thru some older parts of town that need some updating, but I would not even describe as dirty.
Also, I don't think so many would suggest Nashville if it was dirty. I hope you have a chance to go back some time and see the beauty.
