I'm not sure because Toby is 2 1/2 years old and his hair looks a bit ratty after a few days but looks great the day or two after his bath. I brush daily to keep the matts down as I keep him in a full coat. I'm thinking about doing some deep conditioning and see if it helps. They are just such active little dogs that it is hard to keep every hair in place!!
