I was determined that Maybelline would wear a collar and she dug and dug at it and would look like a little cripple puppy trying to dig at while walking around. She finally got use to it after several weeks. I also wanted to be able to hear where she was in the house, but after all that I hardly have her use it because believe my I know where she is I can hear her toe nails on the wood and ceramic so she can not sneak around. I also quit using it because her hair would lay akwardly over it and being a little OCD I wanted it to lay straight. I do use a harness if we go for a walk
