Yes, people do forget the terms if it is verbal. I had a very good friend, or so I thought, tell me we didn't need a contract. She was very insistant, saying "we're friends, we don't need a contract" so I didn't have her sign one. She is now an EX friend, she screwed me over BIG time. Live and learn....
