I'm so very sorry for you and your family. I'm sure nobody wants to accept the fact of the inevitable; I know I wouldn't want to. I wish there was something I could say other than "I understand" and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. You know that you're doing the kindest and the right thing; it just sucks though.
I know that this little poem always makes me feel a little better when I think about my parrots I lost after 20 yrs~ nothing will ever take away the memories or the feeling of loss, but I know they knew they were loved. I'm sure that Sid feels the same way and my prayers are with you and your family as you all travel this very tough road together. May Sid have a peaceful and comfortable passing~
