I love this one and never saw one like this with the seat not attached to the frame like normal.
Do you mind me asking what price range this bike is in and if I can put a doggie basket in front? Thanks so much. |
Do you mean my racing bike

. It cost me a couple of thousand with everything on it, but that company no longer manufactures bikes. You could probably pick one up used for a whole lot less. But it's not the kind of bike you'd put a basket on; it's made for triathlons basically and has aerobars on the front....you wouldn't be riding upright, you'd be hunched over the handlebars sort of lying down almost. It would be very dangerous to put a basket (Or even to ride with a dog) on it.....if you saw what happened to my face when I crashed (they're very fast and very light and when you put on the brakes in an emergency, they kind of do a trick like a horse kicking his rear legs up and bucking you off), you'd never want to have a little doggie on it. The tires are about 3/4" wide.
But if you want a great racing bike, it's called a Softride....there's several different models out there (basically same design, just different stuff on them), but either the PowerWing, the Classic TT, or the Classic IT are all awesome.
Otherwise, depending on what you want to spend, I'd look at any Trek bikes (they have a lot in a lower price range) esp. their mountain bikes (or Cannondale makes FABULOUS bikes...my NEXT

)....or there's some bikes called "Hybrids"..kind of a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike I think...don't know much about them but I know my sister got one quite a few years ago. I just know that I love riding my mountain bike around town and they're so stable...that's why I like them so much I guess. I think they'd be great for a basket and riding with a dog.
