Don't try to go cheap on his food. Premium foods are much more filling and are more nutrient dense. You generally will find yourself using less of a premium food than you will a cheaper food so it may not actually cost more. Cheap foods are full of fillers and don't really satisfy a dog's hunger. Also, Your Yorkie may develop health issues if fed a low quality food over time. I tell everyone that I place a puppy with to spend the money on the food or spend the money at the vet. There are many good brands. I use Drs. Foster & Smith's. It's only about a dollar a pound and all mine will eat it. I've tried some of the other brands but this is the only one they'll all eat consistently.
