Default Suggestions Please

Canyon will be coming home in 3 weeks, 5 days and I am puppy proofing my home, getting his area set up, etc. I've decided to baby gate him in my laundry room with a small crate inside (door off) for his bed, potty pads, food/water/toys etc. It's a 5 ft. X 4 ft. room giving this guy a little room to roam around when I'm not with him.

My dilema is, I have a space between the washer and the wall that is about 7 inches wide. I came up with the brilliant idea of a tall kitchen trash can to wedge in there and fill it with hard back books, making it impossible for him to push it or tip it over. However the tall kitchen trash can is 11 inches wide on top and 6 on the bottom, so back to square one.

Any suggestions from the YT members? I'm now thinking a large tupperware like container one of those big ones with a lid that you use to put sweaters in storage for the winter under your bed, know what I mean?

Would appreciate your thoughts or for those that have had the same dilema, how you solved it?

I'm including recent pics of my little handsome man for those that didn't see my thread in the picture forum.
