The Flower Festival is going on here in Lompoc, and this is the first year since 1985 that we haven't gone. Since the flower fields have dwindled down to nothing, (we use to be the flower capital of the world) and the floats are not as nice, and most of the vendors have common things to sell instead of all the wonderful hand made items that most had for years, we have decided to go drive a bit north, have lunch, walk the girls at the beach and pick up some things at Trader Joe's. A bit laid back today for us, but it's a nice change. |
