Maybe I can shine some light on this. Our Yorkie just passed away a little over a month ago. She was 12.5 years old. She was a beauty, she turned heads every where she went.

Having owned Yorkies for 40 years, we were purchasing quality Yorkies way before they had gained the popularity they seem to enjoy now.

We are once again looking for a puppy, we always deal with our grief and start over with another bundle of love. I have viewed many, many puppies online, via email and from many advertisements. The breed has gone downhill IMO, it is a shadow of what it once was when they were harder to find.

My opinion may not be popular, but we are finding the quality of the Yorkies is not commiserate with the price being asked for them today.

High supply, low quality. At least that is what we are finding in our search.

We are dismayed.
