A good friend of mine has a yorkie, maltese, doberman and greyhound. They are extremely gentle even around my little ones who half of them are smaller than her smalles ones. The one BIG rule with getting a larger pup when you have little ones is TRAINING. They need alot of training which will not only be good for your yorkie but for you as well. Remember the more trained a dog is the happier the dog is. So if you are willing to put up with the training and hard work I say go for it
