1 raccoon during mating season took out all 12 of our 7-9 pound hens in just 2 days! When they discovered that (to their dismay) we keep an akita/black lab in our yard, they would jump out of the tree above the coop and land on the roof. Now that was a mess to clean up!
p.s. please keep a good eye on your babies and don't let them out after dark! (tell them they have a new curfew
)
