It can be a real pain when you have unaltered dogs together. You would have to keep them completely separated for 3 full weeks and they will be very unhappy, whining and barking. How old is Jake? While I am not a fan of early neutering and spaying I do believe it should be done, especially with females when they are more mature. Having two unneutered males together could definitely cause a problem in some cases. I know it is a hard decision and I wish you the best of luck with whatever decision you make.
