ETA: One more suggestion would be I think everybody needs to pay their registration fee up front before we even have a contract with a hotel, and that way if we don't have enough, it can be refunded to everybody and no need to get a contract or start planning if we won't have a good crowd. Anyone else agree??? As long as it will be FULLY REFUNDED if nothing happens, I think anyone should be able to do that!

I think that their should be a few diverse options, and a vote. In order to vote I think members should put up a small "fee" that is non refundable so that only those really interested in making the trip would vote. The voter fee would be applied to the over all expense of the trip. If each member paid a $10.00 fee and l00 people voted that is a quick 1,000 towards the cost of the event. It wouldn't bother me to donate $10. even if I didn't get to go.

I have to say I'm not a fan of the campground... I'm definitely not an outdoorsy person either for the most part. But my main issue is that I cannot trust Lacy off leash when we are outside...and if we are in a campground, we'd be outside a lot.
| Ditto for me too. I love the outdoors but not big on camping. I also can't trust Bella off leash. I vote for Florida or Texas. I've been to Vegas and loved it but don't think they were dog friendly.
I think Florida is dog friendly. Of course, the heat is probably going to be a factor for some but when I used to live in Virginia and vacationed in South Beach in July, the heat/humidity was about the same. If Florida is a consideration, summer is our off-season when room rates and flights tend to be lower, winter is our peak season but the weather is fabulous.
