I would honestly worry more about the momma being OK than the boy. Dogs have single litters all the time. I would think that a c-section will most definately be needed given the information you have provided. I would talk w/ your vet about this option and opt for it rather than letting her try to deliver it naturally--a planned c-section is a better option than an emergency one anyday. In the meantime, make sure that she is getting the care and nutrition she needs and get the items you will need to care for her and the little one after the birth in order. Educate yourself on warning signs that she is distressed or in trouble--both before and after the delivery. (Signs of infection, eclampsia, mastitis, etc) Make sure you arrange your schedule so that you can be with her 24/7 the days following. And most importantly, have her spayed ASAP when it is all said and done to prevent another accident.
