You merely stated your experiences--no harm in that. Keep searching and you will find the mentor you are looking for and achieve your goals--you just have to be determined and persistant. Of course there will be show breeders that 'snub' you and some that don't. But isn't that the case w/ people ANYWHERE you go? In their defense, preparing for and attending a show is very time consuming and stressful for breeders. Their attention and focus is on their dogs and the task at hand and emotions run high. I think knowing when to approach breeders at the show is important...when they are trying to do last minute touch ups and pefect a topknot moments before they take the ring, they are probably not going to be very willing to tear their attention away from what they are doing.

A suggestion: Try to find out what breeders are going to be in participating in the next show you plan to attend. Try to make contact with them before and see if they would be willing to meet and speak with you at a time that is good for them. They are likely to be much more receptive.
