I have both. I use the plastic one to take Jeter to his vet or if we go on rides. His wire one is what I used at night to potty train him because it had a divider that I could make a smaller area. Once he was potty trained, I took it out and I have it in my living room with the door opened so if he wants in he can get in. So I use both of mine depending on what we are doing.
