I never had a problem with the client watching..if they wanted to be in the room, the fee was double..if they wanted to watch from a small opening in a doorway where the dog could not see them, then the price was a normal fee..after a few watched it got boring, they went and did their shopping, appts etc...most Yorkies are angels when mom is not there...a 2 hr groom suddenly becomes a one hour groom...and that is from start to finish....

PS..it is much less stressful when the owner leaves..the grooming goes fast, the dog is not upset wanting to get to mom and we have a nice visit, a treat and bit of play time...never had a Yorkie who didn't want to come see me and get groomed if mom left...
