I disagree with this; all the other registries say that they are not like the other "alternative" registries. The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (YTCA) is the parent club of the AKC, not any other registries. YTCA sets the standard for the Yorkshire terrier. The AKC is the only registry that does routine unscheduled inspections. The AKC is the only registry that has a list of suspended breeders. While not all AKC breeders are good, at least the AKC is making an attempt to rid themselves of the bad ones.
