Deegan only wears a harness when we are out. Even though he is a bigger yorkie (7.8lbs). I just felt it was safer when he was smaller for him to wear a harness vs a collar because of the trachea thing, but also because my cousins dog got his collar caught on a pile of wood in their backyard behind the shed when he was very young and they couldn't find him for 2 hours!! You just never know what they might get caught or stuck on, so I like to play it safe. |
