I know many cities do this, but I don't agree with it at all. There are families that I personally know with 8-10 dogs each who take wonderful care of their dogs. And there are MANY families that have ONE dog that tie it outside on a chain and don't do anything for it. Limiting the number of animals is pointless in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't allow anyone to tell me how many pets I could have. If people are allowed to have as many children as they want, then pet owners ought to be allowed to have as many pets as they want...and as long as the children and pets are well-cared for and loved, then no one should have a problem with it. I'd rather see the city spend their time rescueing all thos unloved SINGLE pets than tell wonderful pet owners that they can only have three or four.
