At her age and weight, I'd want her to be eating every 3-4 hours - so for now, I'd free feed no matter what (unless you're there and can ensure she's eating). I would keep a very close eye on her weight - maybe even have canned on hand (which is better anyway) to give in a.m. and p.m. just to be sure she is eating enough at this age/weight, which is very vulnerable.

I don't feed kibble anymore - but when I did, I ALWAYS free-fed and my pets always self-regulated their food, it was great. Never overweight either bc they never overate, knowing the food was always there.
