I just feel so bad, I know I would be frantic if one of mine went missing. I am so sorry you had to find it, just thinking about it bothers me...

Our animal control here is very good. They notify anyone if they have proper tags on their animal. They will be notified. I also ask the lady I spoke with about that and she told me if there was identification tags or microchip that she would make sure that the families were notified. Or they may even see it on their way home. If it was from somewhere near by. The road it's on is a very busy road for people too & from work. Luckily it was close enough to the center line that people really coming from both sides will be able to miss it.
