If she's hand shy and only dropping to submission when you reach down to pick up or pet her, try Not petting on top of her head or back when you reach down to her, instead scoop your hand under her chin for a little rub and then back away a step and squat down and wait for her to come up to you for a treat. (one cheerio is a treat). Try to repeat this until she stops dropping and only pet her on top when your sitting with her for a cuddle, not bending down over her. |
