The allergen in red ink is shellfish. It adds vibrancy to the ink, and also causes a lot of people pain! You may still be able to eat shellfish but your skin can be allergic to it! I have a redbird tattooed on my ankle that is very scarred because of this allergy. you would think they need to have a disclaimer!
I couldn't walk for a week!
