May I ask if your vet just looked at Rufus and decided he was this mix? If so, I would caution you because no one can tell just by looking. Many, many years ago I had a vet tell me that my chihuahua was a long-haired chihuahua. Well, I already knew better. I had seen the parents. Needless to say, her hair never grew any longer! He was a very good vet, too.
