Oooh, that could work at the bottom of the stairs. We have a rule no stepping over a gate at the top of the stairs because hubby got his sandal caught in the gate and fell down the flight of stairs and broke his elbow and wrist.

That's so cool! When Reggie was little we had a wood siding shingle that I painted a picket fence and tulips on. It was so crafty and cute like yours and blocked the stairs until he was big enough to jump over. The pen's adorable. Shhh, you're right-handed secret is safe with me!
