Now she may need something for her joints.
Sooo, I'm not opposed to the idea but I just want to be convinced that it is necessary and worth the expense and hassle.
You are probably right though.
Maybe they would help her. |
For fish oil - every holistic practitioner I speak with reccomends Nordic Naturals. I actually use the same human Omega formula for me and my dogs. For probiotic, I use either PetFlora or Solgar acidophilous which is available at any GNC. open the capsule and sprinkle it on her breakfast.
Ella Bean tore her tiny paw when I first got her - I got some calendula ointment from the health food store, wrapped the paw in sterile cotton pads and used medical tape to secure the sterile pads. I made a tiny little boot for her. I left it on overnight and then replaced it with the same procedure the next morning. By day three it was closed, but still visible so I let her walk around at home with no bandage to air it out and when we went out for peeing, I made her another little boot.
I understand feeling like you may be overdoing the supplements, but I can't emphasize enough how much a probiotic does for our little one's health. Because they are so small, I do the Omega oil 3X a week and glucosamine for joint health 3X a week. I do probiotic everyday as it keeps the yeasties away!!
