But buying one of those puppies only opens up that cage for another. The petstores and puppymills don't care why you are buying them...they just want to sell them so they can keep making money. I feel like if you buy a few of them, all you are doing is condeming thousands of others to a life of misery in puppymills. I feel like we have to say No to those few we see in petstores in order to do what is best for ALL DOGS in this world. If we'd all just say NO to petstores then they would all go out of business and puppymills would stop breeding. Most of those unsold puppies would be taken to shelters and rescue groups where they could be adopted for minimal fees to loving homes..instead of sold for hundreds-thousands of dollars and creating suffering for others.

Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs.
Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
