I was in a very similiar situation a few months ago. My bf and I broke up and he rented out his condo and moved into his parent's house. He called me a few days after moving and said taking care of two dogs is too much work and ask if I can find them a home. I was completely heartbroken because I was hoping he could keep them until I can find a place of my own. It wasn't easy for me to find an affordable apartment in silicon valley (a decent one is around $1500). I was afraid I wouldn't be able to provide them a good and comfortable home.
Many kind-hearted yorkie members from this site offer to foster them until I can get a place of my own. I hope others can do the same for you. I was literally crying every hour thinking that I may never see my yorkies again so I know what you are going through.
