I only shave the top 1/3 of the ears inside and out. If you do it yourself, be very careful when you are tipping the edges with scissors. Always cut from bottom to top. You are less likely to cut the ear that way. (i'm a groomer) When my Max's ears weren't standing at 12 weeks, even with the tips shaved, I decided to tape them. I think that I almost waited too late because they never were perfect V's. But they did stand up and the way they sat gave him character!
