 Scared of Everything Yorkie
I have a 9 year old Yorkie named Fanci. She is my heart. But she is terrified of everything. If she is lying on the ottoman and a fly has gotten in the house and buzzes around her ear she will jump down and run and hide in my closet. We have a beach house about 2 and 1/2 hours from where we live. We go every weekend. Of course she goes with us. Whenever we pass a big truck or a loud car she backs up to me and hides. I won't even go into the numerous nights we have been awakened by her due to bad weather. If we are not home, she will jump in the garden tub. What can be done about this. I have discussed this with the vet on numerous occasions. He gave her a tranquizer but when it would wear off she would bite until it totally got out of her system. Then he told me to give her Benyadril. I have done this but it doesn't really seem to help. Do any of you have any suggestions?? I need help! I'm afraid she is going to have a heart attack. |
