No worries...Izzy is a year-and-a-half and only 2.8 pounds (I got her at 5 months and she was only 2.3) - we have her on Revolution which is both flea and heartworm since they make it for doggies 5# and under. We have had no problem at all in using this on her and I recommend it but you need to get the Revolution from your vet or at least a script to get it on line.
