Question A Maltese Person in Yorkieland...

Hi Everybody,
Don't hate me - I love Yorkies but I'm a Maltese person through and through.
I came on here to inquire for a friend who is looking for a tiny Yorkie. I
know, I know - not breed standard, health problems and all the rest of it,
same as with Maltese. However, this person (my groomer) has had tiny
Yorkies for many years, including one with a shunt. She's willing to take one
with a shunt or other health issues and give it a good home. The reason she
wants such a small one (2 lbs. or less) is that she does house calls and has
to carry all her equipment with her, and she wants to take the dog with her.
She says 2 lbs. is the maximum weight she can handle. She recently lost
one - it was hit by a taxi that jumped the curb - and she's devastated. She
desperately wants another one, and has been looking around, but the few
people that have the tiny ones - even sick ones - aren't willing to sell them.
I was wondering if any of you had any ideas. She would take a rescue if
she could find one. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
