I am so sorry about the liver shunt diagnosis. Our speaker on nutrition at the KC meet-up talked in depth about vet prescription food and how terrible it is.
All the crappy kibble (and canned foods) out there contain a high sugar content which is why when you try to transition your pup onto something good they might turn their nose up at it. Yogurt is fantastic - please keep doing that. I would highly recommend a raw diet for her; lower in protein, such as The Honest Kitchen. Please so some research on foods, particularly through holistic websites.
