honest to god there was NOTHING painful about it at all... you could fall asleep during it.. it is that relaxing. there is a hallow sound in your ear when it is being candled but that's it. I highly suggest it. I used to have my ears flushed all the time and THAT was painful.

if you do it at home.. it is VERY important to get a suction. i'm sure the directions will mention that.
