My girls act totally off while in heat, they get grumpy and bark at everything, they seem very sad while in heat as well. they refuse to play and just lay around.
I think it is very normal, just make sure she is eating and drinking normally. If she doesn't, take her to the vet.
I would put panties on her to to aid in keeping males off of her. If you have a boy, I would put panties on him too! lol
