Oh hon I have had them.. we had to tube feed gracie for two weeks night and day every two hours on the button.. or she would not have made it.. my fear would be that the little one will dehydrate quicker then you can imagine.. so you need to make sure if he will suckle.. to make sure every hour he is on that teat.. I lost two so fast this litter and they were doing so well until tails were docked and dew claws removed.. so please do not get dew claws done if you get tail done.. I would have rather had my tails and them alive but they were in pain and it is so hard on them.. most do not realize how traumic it really is..
there are video's on tube feeding and if they will not suckle enough that is the best way to know how much they are getting..
remember mom's milk comes first..watch for any little sign of dehyration at all.. for they will go down fast and even tube feeding cannot get the fluid in there body they need.. with subq fluids.. that is what I will learn to do on my own..my vet would not do it for me..
keep us updated.. there are so many more breeders on here much more experienced then myself..anne |
