I think your plan of putting it further up the tree is a great idea...the parents will hear them chirping. I wouldn't put it into a bird house unless it's fairly open b/c you don't know if the parents will find them that way....the basket is a good idea as long as it's fairly open too; the main thing is to secure the nest some way so it doesn't fall down. Good luck! And if you have problems, the bird rescue places are really good with them, but I know they prefer for them to be taken care of by mom and dad!
