" You will often hear breeders saying thing slike ,"My Litter was born on day 67." No your litter born 63 days after they were released from the ovary..That is when the clock started. You will often hear"My pups were premature, they were born on day 57" No they were born on day 63 after ovulation.Your bitch was bred a few days after she ovulated.
The day of ovulation is the day the clock starts.Their clocks run 62-64 days, but the figure is actually closer to 63 days.
Even reading this I dont feel 100% confident about it lol. So my calculation is July 12 for my litter.
I just bought this book and it's loaded with TONS of info on reproduction, deseases, whelping and what to do during whelping. They even put different scenerios. "The perfect whelping" and "The whelping from Hell"
Amazon has them for like 40% cheaper
Genie,Cookie,Lola & Angel | great post
does this mean it is not 63 days from the tie? is it true that ovulation occurs a few days after the tie.. or one week after the tie approximately?
thanks..
