Its freezing here, too during the winter. I had Stewie peepad trained, but I thought it was disgusting having pee in my house. I just started taking him out every hour when I was home. When I wasn't home (at work), I leave a pad out for him, but I figured he could hold it quite a while since he holds it all night. I picked up the pad when I got home and took him right out. I also take him out first thing in the morning. I do have a pad in my bedroom (he sleeps in my bed) because sometimes he hops out and uses it in the middle of the night and hops back in. He still pees on the pad once in a while when I'm not home, but I think the problem I had before was that whenever he would walk by it and see it, he would use it even if he didnt have to go.
I guess I'll see how it works out in the winter time. I doubt he's gonna like the bitter Chicago winters. We'll see.
