Then she had an accident on the basement floor. That was pretty disappointing. . However she did so good. I kept her off leash, and she slept at my feet while I ate dinner. . So sweet. I love her so much. I worry whether or not Im doing the right thing with her. Just because shes my first. No matter how many books you read your never fully prepared when your new baby finally comes. lOL.
Anyways after her bath she was shivering so much....but she dried quickly. It was cool. LOL> I was hoping she didnt get lethargic...I wasnt sure and she didnt really eat after that. I finally gave her a little karo syrup. I think she ate prolly a bite to eat after that. OR two.
Oh...yeah I forgot the question I wanted to ask was how often should I take her out to pee. LOL ...I know your gonna say as often as she needs to go but its like...almost 12am...and since she didnt go before I put her to bed for the night around 9pm...or 8pm..not sure...but I did leave quite a bit of food in water in there with her because she didnt eat that well when she was up sooooo should I get her up in the middle of the night and take her to pee and poo or should I just leave her till morning. She doesnt act like she has to go really bad instead if she hears me coming into the bedroom she cries and whimpers and sometimes bark to get out.....
So...basically my question is should I take her out any time ...or if I take her out when its really late thats like...bad cause then she will be crying to go out in the middle of the night? |
well first you might want to try blow drying her. i never let Layla air dry because she shivers too.
if you are leaving her food and water in her crate a) she has TOO Much room in her crate and might have accidents and b) she will need to go out in the middle of the night. when she cries... wait for her to stop and then take her out.. she might have to go.. she might not.. but that is the only way she has to tell you that she needs out. When she is around 6-8 months you start to notice a pattern in her pee/poop and will know if she has to go out before bed. so i say better safe than sorry!
