YorkieTalk Friends,
Just an update. First of all, I wanted to thank each of you who took the time to respond to my request for information.
I wanted to tell you that General Patton saw the vet today for his scheduled appointment. By the way, it was his first appointment with a new vet and I was impressed. The vet spent approximately 40 minutes with me, and Patton was so comfortable with him he even slept on the table(no shots, just a physical exam). Patton is now 6.9 lbs(a Porkie indeed, lol).
Anyway, he suggested a couple of other things besides what you had graciously mentioned. He also suggested I get a water bottle that can squirt long distance, and to keep it handy and squirt Patton as he is getting ready to eat the POOP (sorry gals). The other suggestion he made was to create a loud noise(suggested some device I can get at a boat shop), but I think I am going to try a training clicker instead. The third other suggestion he made was to shock him(he said these are very mild) and said I could use them for a couple of days and Patton would stop after just a few minor shocks. I wasn't too keen on this suggestion, but will keep it in mind if other suggestions don't work. I think I will try the water bottle first and keep it handy near the yard, and if that doesn't work try the training clicker. Or, just pick up Bella's poop would be simpler it seems. But any how, I am sharing because some of these will work easier for some of us than for others depending on our schedules, and situations.
Again, thanks for your kind suggestions. Will keep you posted.
