Sad eye infection

I tried to search this but apparently eye is too common a word... Anyway, I woke up this morning and Lexie's eyes were matted shut with eye gunk. I got a baby wipe and gently cleaned her all up. That lasted about a half hour to an hour before she had more eye boogies, definitely an infection. It's yellowy, greenish clear. Is there anything I can do to keep her comfortable until we can go to the vet on Monday? I'm sure she just needs some eye drops, but I know it can't be fun to have eye boogies 24/7. Suggestions? Causes? Is it contagious for me and Tucker? Thanks in advance!
