She is a puppy - it is almost inevitable that she will cry. I can almost guarantee you that it's worse on you that it is on them. Just let her cry and eventually she will learn to love her playpen and enjoy her time alone. It sounds like you have everything covered! The only thing I would leave in addition to all that is maybe a worn t-shirt with your smell on it?

However, I'll ask that you reconsider leaving her alone often until she is quite a bit older. 9 weeks in awfully young, a reputable breeder wouldn't let a puppy go until 12 weeks. I would constantly worry about hypoglycemia.
