I accidently taught our kitty the word HOT with a green bean. I gave it to hear and said hot and she put it in her mouth anyway and then spit it out. Now when i say hot she touches it lightly with her paw til it's cool enough to eat. The same seems to be working with the dog. When I get ready to open the oven I say get back Hot. He stuck his face close once and that's all it took. Now when I say get back Hot he backs away.
