So sorry for the loss of your two babies...and Congrats on your new girls. You are doing a wonderful thing....yes its hard work but at the end of the day you are going to feel so proud of yourself. Its so rewarding. I adopted Gabby 6 months ago, she's two and although she wasn't a mill dog she had a few issues. As far as adjusting she was fine because as soon as I brought her home she was not scared to explore but my girl didn't know what picking her up, cuddling, kisses were. She would get stiff and be scared when I would try to pick her up. 6 months later all she wants to do is cuddle, give me kisses and wants to be picked up. She knows its okay....and its so rewarding knowing that everytime I look at her I can see in her eyes that I am everything to her.
